Happy 70th Birthday Dad/Grumpy!!

My sister Laura is not a fan of the whole tee shirt under the tank top look. It's a big inside joke, but most everyone showed up in that style just to poke fun at me. And fun it was!
In order to not burn Nathan & Shyloh's house down we only put 7 candles on the ice cream cake. Almost all of my dad's kids went on a cruise for he and my mom to go on. They leave in a week and a half... it turned out to be a good surprise.

Sitting down enjoying each other.

Look at these cute kids!

More excited every day for our new house!

Soccer for Preston

Preston has been rocking Soccer this year. He was goalie quite a bit his last game and did not let one ball get past him!
Here are some of his supporters! Grandma & Grandpa Hendrickson came just to see him play.
Riley was there to cheer her brother on. I love this picture of her!

Peston's first Pine Wood Durby

Here are most of the boys in our troop.
He and Wyatt are the only wolves in our pack. So, Wyatt took first and Preston took 2nd!

Ellie is 11 months old

This girl is like no other! She has the best personality. Always happy. Likes to be held by everyone. Makes these funny smile faces. But, she could care less about walking or crawling for that matter. She will roll and scoot. The scooting is just now starting. I think someone called it the crab scoot. It has been a bit of a blessing to put her down and have her stay in the same place. When she feels up to it I'm sure she will start getting around more. For now we will just enjoy a little non-mover.

April 15th- It's her party and she'll cry if she wants to!

Riley turned 12! I know! It's crazy that she is this old! I made a new family favorite ice cream cake for her. Grandma and Grandpa Moser came to help make her day special!

Why is she crying? Because she is so happy one of her many wonderful gifts was a Kendle!

Best Easter Hunt/Games EVER!

Okay, I think I fell in love with Redmond this weekend! This was the best Easter celebration I had ever been too! So small town and so wonderful! This was held in the foot hill of Redmond. We are going to come back every year even if we live in Salina!
Here is Riley running for some eggs! They hid some easy for the little kids, but the big kids had to hike up the hill!

A parents view:

Preston feels like he is king of the Easter hunt!
The view from the top of the hill. Pyper insisted I take her up to look for more eggs.
Ellie hung out with my friend Gretchen a lot of the time.
This is Pyper in the running race for her age. She is telling me she is not going to run because she has her boots on and not her shoes. She walked the whole way.
Riley is running it!
Another fun race with the eggs on the spoons.
Riley kicked some butt at this game!
Another fun game. Here Preston is with his friend Kian.
Riley and Andrick
I played the egg tossing game with my friend Gretchen. We did pretty well!
It did happen to break on me, but I made sure and shared it with a hug!

The things she says....

The house we rent in is a bit older and the closet in my bedroom only fits Jon's clothes. So, I put mine in Ellie's room. (Being that Jon changes in and out of clothes at all hours of the day and night) The other morning I put Ellie down for a nap and brought my clothes for the day and put them on my bed while I took a shower. I was done, in my towel, and putting on my make-up and Jon was in the bathroom brushing his teeth. Pyper came to the bathroom door with my bra at her chest and said, “Look! I have big pribits!” (Privets) Jon and I looked at each other not quite sure how we should respond, then we looked back at her and she my bra up to her eyes, brought the bra down a bit and called out, “peek-a-boo!”
Last night Jon was doing a lay out of our property/new house for the sprinkler system. I noticed a 60x65 live stalk pin. I let him know this would not be happening! So, it turned in to a family discussion on how the kids and Jon would take care of the sheep, chickens, dogs, bunnies, and all other animals desired by my husband and children. It was my family against me! It was my turn to say family prayer and I thanked God for all the animals and how we could admire them without owning them. While I was saying this I heard Pyper say, “Just one chick!” in a desperate whisper. I look up and see these big blue eyes pleading with me, and then she whispered, “And, just one bunny!”

Library reading time

My friend Gretchen does the local library reading time. I had my camera with me to take pictures of the house and thought they looked so cute! I snapped this shot.

The best 8 little hands!

We did this on Tuesday on our back patio. I had to pull the 2 oldest out of school while the cement was still wet enough. I love it!

The house! -So excited!

I left the three older kids home with Jon and just took the baby. Here she is with Maddison and Scottlynn. Also while we were in town we hung out with Grandma Patsi and the Hendrickson gang! Here we are at the Brick Oven for lunch on Saturday.
