Blame It On The Rain!

We are having a rain storm! The kids are out playing in it. Riley's friend Halie is over for the day. I remember playing in the rain when I was little. HOW FUN!

Jon's hobby

Jon does not like me posting about him. I tried to get him to let me take a picture of him with this award and his big gun, but it did not happen. He is leaving tomorrow for a match in Nebraska. The first part of July he went to the World Competition match in New Mexico. He had a blast and took 5th place out of the whole world. I think it's awesome! They have to shoot 1000 yards to the target.

The 50 caliber guns are massive! To give you an idea here is a bullet that he uses.

Preston's first day of pre-school

Preston just started his 2nd year of pre-school. He is in his official "Lisa's Learning Center" shirt for a class picture. He can't wait to go to kindergarten and be in the same school as his big sister.

Here is Preston ready for school showing off his new battery operated 4 wheeler with trailer his Grandma Drew gave him for an early birthday gift. (My kids are not spoiled at all!)

Family Prayer

We never know what to expect when Preston says the dinner prayer or the family prayer before bed. Jon and I have a hard time not opening our eyes and looking at each other smiling during his prayers. He thanks Heavenly Father for "the doors to go in and out, the windows that open, the right side of the back yard, the left side of the back yard, and all the wonderful things in the world,” among other things. I wish I could record all of his prayers. His prayers always last the longest and we enjoy them so much!

Pyper's Smiles

Pyper has been smiling a bunch the last few days. She is so much more expressive. We are loving it. She is 7 & 1/2 weeks old. I was just changing her diaper and she was smiling so much. I thought to get my camra. The flash scares her a bit so I did not get most of her smiles. Here are some fun pictures anyway.

Vanessa Hudgens

My sister Sharon called the other day and told us she won some tickets on the radio to see Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) at the State Fair. She offered the tickets to us. I let her tell Riley over the phone. Riley was speechless as Sharon told her she was sending up tickets for her. We had a wonderful time tonight. I let Pyper stay home with Jon. Riley and I had a great mother-daughter date. We danced and sang along. I was bummed when I realized I forgot my camara. We got this cool necklace with our picture on it. Riley got a bag from the concert. We ate fair food and had a snow cone. Fun, fun at the Utah State Fair!

When Paige was over the other day we put Grayson and Pyper down on my bed. Grayson reached out to Pyper and took her arm. How sweet!
